Position Description: The Postsecondary Success Department focuses on supporting high-need individuals across Oregon and Siskiyou County to better their lives, and the lives of their families through education beyond high school. A key component of this strategy is our scholarship programs which support nearly 1,000 students from diverse backgrounds (rural, non-traditional, underrepresented groups, etc.). The Student Success Counselor has the primary responsibility for the coordination of student support efforts for the Foundation’s scholarship programs. Working closely with the Manager of Scholarship Programs, the position is responsible for coordinating the development, implementation and evaluation of the Postsecondary Success Department’s student support strategy. The counselor, in partnership with others on the student support team, also provides individual counseling, educational advice, support and encouragement to scholarship recipients. The Foundation is committed to putting scholarship recipients’ well-being at the center and providing a holistic approach to our support. This position is a critical part of the team ensuring the Foundation’s programs support students’ smooth transition to and through college. The position also engages in other activities related to outreach and selection of recipients and represents the Postsecondary Success Department as a content expert in appropriate external and Foundation-wide meetings and projects related to student well-being and success. This position is located at the Foundation’s office in Eugene and is required to occasionally travel and work outside normal business hours, including some evenings and weekends. The position supervises the Administrative Associate – Scholar Supports. This is an exempt position, and the annual salary is $95,000.00.
