Position Description:
The Financial Aid Counselor/Scholarship Coordinator has a central role in the success of hundreds of students from all walks of life. The position is responsible for creating and managing all institutional scholarships, including but not limited to: The EOU Foundation scholarships, departmental scholarships, and institutional fee remission scholarship award databases (MS Access). The Financial Aid Counselor/Scholarship Coordinator works collaboratively with the EOU Foundation, other offices and committees on campus and private donors.

The Financial Aid Counselor/Scholarship Coordinator position is responsible for counseling current students and educating prospective students and their families about federal, state, local and institutional aid programs. This position is also responsible for all fee remission awarding, processing, verifying, and updating student documents that affect student aid as well as monitor academic progress for continued aid disbursement.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent advanced knowledge gained through a combination of work experience and intellectual learning.

Experience in office administration: administrative support and customer service. Ability to manage, organize, and complete large quantities of tasks with frequent interruptions from customers.

Must satisfactorily complete EOU criminal and credential background check.
