Position Description:
OSU-Cascades is seeking a Financial Aid, Scholarships and Veterans Coordinator. This is a full-time 1.0 FTE, 12-month, professional faculty position. This position will be located in Bend, Oregon.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Enrollment Services, the Financial Aid, Scholarship and Veterans Coordinator is responsible for advising current and prospective students on financial aid and scholarship opportunities. They assist in the recruitment and retention efforts of OSU-Cascades. The person in this position will be a resource to veterans regarding benefits processes. This position will also expand a financial literacy program for OSU-Cascades students. OSU-Cascades, located in Bend, Oregon is a branch campus of Oregon State University. Established in 2001, the university currently enrolls more than 1,300 students in bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. The campus expanded to a four-year university in 2015, opened its 10-acre campus in fall 2016, and the Oregon legislature approved additional funding in 2017, 2018 and 2021 for continued campus expansion, which is currently in progress. The branch campus has ambitious enrollment goals to reach 3,000 students and is engaged in building a culturally diverse and community-centric educational environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in field of choice from regionally accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one year of professional experience working with financial aid, scholarships, veterans’ services or other student support services at a College or University.
  • Ability to work with and counsel diverse students, parents, and community members.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in public speaking and development of presentation materials.
  • Perform work with accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Flexibility in adapting to changing conditions: partner with others to accomplish tasks.
  • Successful experience working within a diverse team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work with computer supported systems.
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge and/or experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures and a demonstrable commitment to diversity.
  • Must pass a criminal history check and motor vehicle history check.
