Position Description:
Columbia Gorge Community College is seeking a Director of Financial Aid to administer and manage Title IV, state grant and institutional aid programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and institutional policies and regulations. The Director fosters an environment that promotes an effective, responsive financial aid program to meet institutional goals and students’ needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited four-year College or university. A master’s degree is preferred for highly qualified candidates.
  • Five years of experience working directly related to financial aid, with two years of related management experience.
  • Extensive knowledge on the administration of federal financial aid programs, processes, and regulations.
  • Two or more years of administrative or management experience in an environment involving planning, budgeting and supervision.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Compensation:

This full-time, exempt position has a starting salary placement of $52,567- $64,650/yr based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 160 hours vacation per year and retirement through Oregon Public Retirement System.

The main campus of CGCC is located in The Dalles, Oregon, a community of over 13,000 people at the east end of the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area, 85 miles east of Portland. CGCC also has a satellite campus in Hood River, Oregon, a community of 22,000 people located 65 miles east of Portland.

The Gorge, formed by the Columbia River, extends more than 70 miles, is the only break in the length of the Cascade Mountain Range and has a worldwide reputation for its myriad of recreational opportunities. The Dalles and Hood River offer outstanding windsurfing, scenic hiking and biking trails, skiing, white water rafting, excellent fishing and boating, unique cultural experiences, and numerous historical museums that provide enjoyment to meet anyone’s taste.
