This workshop provides financial aid personnel with a beginning course in the history and philosophy of financial aid, an introduction to the types and sources of aid, and an in-depth view of need analysis, verification, and application and processing procedures.

Workshop topics include:

• Purpose, Philosophy and History of Financial Aid
• Discussion of the General Eligibility Requirements of Financial Aid Recipients  
• Professional Judgment
• Review of the FAFSA, Renewal Application and Student Aid Report
• Customer Service
• Overview of the State Grant Program
• Need Analysis Theory, Methodology and Cases Studies
• Question and Answer Time

The target audience for this workshop is the financial aid employee who is either new to the profession, or someone in the profession for some time and has a need and/or desire for a professional development refresher course.

On line registration is open until January 6, 2010.  Once you complete the online registration process, you may either pay the registration fee online, using OASFAA’s Pay By Credit Card Option OR print an invoice and mail your check to Ryan West at the address indicated on the invoice.  Please mail checks no later than January 7, 2010, or bring payment (checks or cash only) with you to the workshop.
